Ever wonder how you can grown more food in your small space? Grow up!
Growing vertically is the only way we are able to grow as much as we do in our backyard. Most plants love to climb, so often it's as simple as creating a structure to support them, then just let your plants do the rest.

This is what happens when you get a new dog and the garden goes untended for a couple days. 😅 Monster zucchini!

Wild fermented daikon pickle!
Daikon cut into 1cm diameter sticks, then added to a crock or jar with heaps of garlic, some dill + fennel seeds, and a bit of turmeric... pour a 2% brine (made with good salt) over the lot, weight it down so everything's under the brine, and leave at room temperature for a few weeks.
When it's as sour as you like it, transfer to cellar or fridge and eat with everything - sliced thin or in whole sticks. Amazeballs does not begin to describe this pickle. Yay for daikon! #permacultureliving

I always told my son we love dirt but I think he loves it more than me. 😂😂🙈
Finished end grain ladle. A real interesting spoon to make that presented a whole heap of challenges. Really happy with the end result though, and I love falling into the growth rings...shows that this spoon has been about 40 years in the making. It's up on the webstore now (sold). Link in my bio 🌳
